Davidson Consortium for the Arts

by | Dec 10, 2017 | Arts & Entertainment

This past fall, several arts organizations held an informal meeting to share ideas for publicity with each other. As the conversation progressed, they realized that they shared the same goals for bringing musical opportunities to our community. Each organization has a different focus that complemented the others. They realized that they could build each other up, as well as boost their own audiences. Thus, in that spirit of community and cooperation, was born the Davidson Consortium for the Arts.

The member organizations are Music at St. Albans, Organ at Davidson, Caritas Acapella Ensemble, and the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra. All the programs for the fall season were consolidated onto a single poster that went in various public venues. In addition, a small version was inserted into the individual concert programs of each organization, so that all the organizations were publicized together. A similar effort will occur for the winter/spring season.

Davidson is enriched by many talented people who present a rich array of programs for the public. They are working together in the hope that Davidson audiences will become more aware of all the diverse and entertaining offerings in our town. Watch for the new poster and a new Facebook page in the weeks ahead with descriptions of the winter/spring season..
