Memorial Day

The Davidson Mayor and Board of Commissioners issued a proclamation inviting citizens to take time to visit our town cemeteries and/or the Davidson College War Memorial to honor those Davidsonians who gave the last full measure of devotion for our Nation. Last Sunday volunteers placed flags on the graves of our veterans at these three cemeteries:

  • Christian Aid Society – located on Ridge Road on the Davidson College campus
  • Mimosa Cemetery – located on South Street
  • Davidson College Cemetery – located on N. Main Street

The Davidson College War Memorial is located behind Elm Row – in between the Carnegie Guest House and the Old Well. [Flags will be placed at this location on Monday morning.]
