 Davidson Farmers’ Market

The Davidson Farmer’s Market, Inc. (DFM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Davidson, North Carolina. This is the 10th year of the Davidson Farmers’ Market. The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a producer-only, year-round Market featuring more than 35 farmers and local producers from within a 100-mile radius. The Market is a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers are on hand to answer your questions, from “How was this grown?” to questions about how to prepare and preserve all types of foods. We are located next to the Davidson Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets. Parking is available on Main Street, Town Hall Lot, Police Department Lot, and at Davidson Presbyterian Church lot at the corner of Depot & Jackson Streets.


Walk With A Doc

Walk with A Doc is a national program to encourage healthy regular physical activity in people of all ages, to help reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of those who would participate. Walking for as little as 30 minutes a day can have enormous health benefits. Walking was recently recognized by the Surgeon General of the United States as one of the single most important things we can do for our health. Will you join us in making health and happiness accessible to all? Bring the whole family and the dog but just come and join your fellow citizens in improving the health of our community.


Summer Kickoff Party

Celebrate the start of summer with a full day of beach-themed fun at Main Street Books!

  • Start the day with Saturday morning story time hosted by Tara Luebbe, author of Shark Nate-O, at 10 a.m.
  • Then, cut your (shark) teeth on a fun, introductory lesson on sharks and their terrifying teeth taught by Ashley Oliphant, author of Shark Tooth Hunting on the Carolina Coast, at 11 a.m.
  • Next, get your game face on for a summertime scavenger hunt. Teams of up to four people can begin their quest at the bookstore at 3 p.m.
  • Finally, hunker down in the store for snacks, nail art, and conversations with Young Adult authors Mary Jane Capps and Robin Constantine at 4 p.m.

Caritas Favorites (Concert)

June 3 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Davidson College Presbyterian Church

The CARITAS acapella ensemble will perform at DCPC at 3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. They will be performing works by Byrd, Palestrina, Esenvalds, Whitacre, Forrest, and others. One half of ticket proceeds will benefit the Project2Heal charity.


Davidson Farmers Market Hosts “Ten4Ten” Benefit Dinner

Tickets are now on sale for the Sunday, June 3, Davidson Farmers Market benefit dinner, which will be prepared by eleven area chefs. The event, titled “Ten4Ten,” celebrates the market’s tenth anniversary, and will take place under a large tent on the Village Green. Market Manager Abby Wyatt said proceeds will go specifically toward rebuilding the market’s storage shed, and generally toward market operations.Tickets are $150, which includes one drink ticket and a four-course meal prepared by the 11 chefs. It begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour, hors-d’oeuvres and silent auction, followed by a sit-down family-style meal featuring four courses with wine pairings.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE – Walk-ins Welcome

The Red Cross is in urgent need of blood as Summer begins. Please consider making a donation. If you want to register in advance, go to   Look for the blue box that says Give Blood and enter the code DCPC then follow the prompts.

It’s also worth noting that most of the snacks at this blood drive are homemade.
