WOW-World of Wonder-Hosting Free Nature Outing

WOW – WORLD OF WONDER, a nature discovery program for children and their families, is hosting a free nature outing, co-sponsored by Davidson Lands Conservancy and Woodland Discovery.

The exploration of the West Branch Nature Preserve Trail will be held on Saturday, June 23, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Carolina Thread Trail (CTT) in Davidson.

Sena McCrory, CTT Program Coordinator, will lead an easy, 1.5 mile hike into this 90-acre preserved wetland habitat to look for birds, reptiles, plants, trees, and more – all of which make this part of Davidson so special.

This outing is for children with their families. The minimum age is 5 years old. Location and other details will be sent to those who pre-register. (CTT

Pre-registration is required. To begin the registration process, please send an email to [email protected] with the names of all the participants (parents and children), ages of the children, any allergies and a cellphone number. Do not send registration requests to Carolina Thread Trail.

Be sure you get a confirmation of registration email that includes medical and photo waiver instructions.

Registration is not available on the Davidson Lands Conservancy website.

Be sure that you receive an email confirming your registration.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration closes at 5pm, Friday, June 22.
