UPDATE: Charlotte Water Repair Work Continues at Woodland & Lorimer Intersection
Charlotte Water continues work at the intersection of Woodland and Larimer throughout the week.
State Utility Contractors Inc. has finished their exploratory work associated with the sanitary sewer manhole located in the intersection of Lorimer Road and Woodland Street.
The manhole in the intersection had begun to settle as the result of a sinkhole that occurred due to soil migrating into the sanitary sewer manhole through the loss of mortar in the manhole’s brickwork.
Replacement of the manhole began on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.
The intersection will be closed to traffic during the day.
Charlotte Water anticipates early completion of work by this Friday, July 13, 2018 with late completion by Monday, July 16, 2018.
