DAVIDSON, NC – The Town of Davidson announced today that it has partnered with ClearGov, a leading municipal transparency and benchmarking platform, to launch an infographic-based fiscal transparency center on the town’s website.  This new tool provides the public with an easy-to-understand, visual breakdown of Davidson’s finances, as well as insights into the town’s demographics. The site also provides budgetary comparisons to peer communities.

The town is part of a growing movement of North Carolina municipalities that are taking transparency to a new level on the ClearGov platform, which also showcases basic profiles of every municipality in the state. Davidson has added detailed revenue and expenditure breakdowns of its general fund data.

“We are excited to partner with the ClearGov platform and encourage Davidson citizens to take a look,” says Finance Director Pieter Swart.  “We anticipate that using the ClearGov platform, in conjunction with our other transparency efforts, will enhance citizens accessibility to, and comprehension of, the town’s finances.”
