The Davidson Farmer’s Market, Inc. (DFM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Davidson, North Carolina. This is the 10th year of the Davidson Farmers’ Market. The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a producer-only, year-round Market featuring more than 35 farmers and local producers from within a 100-mile radius. The Market is a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers are on hand to answer your questions, from “How was this grown?” to questions about how to prepare and preserve all types of foods. We are located next to the Davidson Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets. Parking is available on Main Street, Town Hall Lot, Police Department Lot, and at Davidson Presbyterian Church lot at the corner of Depot & Jackson Streets.


Walk With A Doc

Walk with A Doc is a national program to encourage healthy regular physical activity in people of all ages, to help reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of those who would participate. Walking for as little as 30 minutes a day can have enormous health benefits. Walking was recently recognized by the Surgeon General of the United States as one of the single most important things we can do for our health. Will you join us in making health and happiness accessible to all? Bring the whole family and the dog but just come and join your fellow citizens in improving the health of our community.


Fall Sports Kick-Off

Town Green

Join the Wildcat fall sports teams for a fun, free family kick off event on the green. Field hockey, football, soccer, and volleyball student-athletes and coaches will be on hand. There will be food, a dunk tank, bounce house, as well as other activities for the whole family. The student-athletes will provide sporting drills, and be available for autographs. The event will also include chances to win Davidson gear.

Idol Talk Book Event

Idol Talk, a new collection of new essays explores with tenderness and humor the teen crushes of the past 50 years—from Elvis to John Lennon to Diana Ross—who have influenced fans’ choices, romantically or otherwise, well into adulthood. Join Idol Talk contributors Judy Goldman, Lisa Kline, Amy Rogers, and Tamra Wilson at Main Street Books for a fun trip down memory lane.


Concert on the Green: Chunky Daddy

August 12 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Town Green – corner of Main Street and Concord Road

All concerts are free, family-oriented, and open to all ages. Food and beverages are available for purchase. In addition, attendees also have a choice of some wonderful Davidson restaurants from which to get take-out, or visit before or after the concert. Coolers and picnics are welcome. Free public parking is available all around the event site, however, please pay attention to signs indicating where parking is prohibiting. Handicapped event parking is available on Main Street, Concord Road and in the Davidson Public Library parking lot along Lorimer Road.


Family Story Time

Bring your family (aged birth to 5) out to enjoy stories, songs, and movement activities that support early literacy skill development and help foster a love of books and reading in your child.  Families, toddlers, preschoolers. Registration opens 30 minutes prior to story time, please check in at the desk.

Davidson Housing Coalition’s Hope Served Here

Dine out with the Davidson Housing Coalition! Over the next month, DHC is partnering with local restaurants for our fifth annual Hope Served Here fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds from lunch and dinner at each participating restaurant will be donated directly to the Davidson Housing Coalition. Donations like these have enabled DHC to help families in our community find a place to call home.

Join us for a great meal at the following restaurants: Carrburritos on Tuesday, August 14th, Mestizo Contemporary Mexican Cuisine on Thursday, August 23rd, The Pickled Peach on Tuesday, August 28th, and Flatiron Kitchen + Taphouse on Wednesday, September 12th.
