by | Aug 13, 2018 | Arts & Entertainment, DavidsonLearns, News, Top Right Box

“The Humanities at Davidson are Alive and Well…….Despite What You Read in the Papers”

Location: The Pines at Davidson in the Davidson Room
Date: August 14
Time: 7:15pm

Dr. Scott Denham will present a lecture explaining the new humanities program at Davidson College. While springing from the traditions of the past this is not your traditional Western Civ or Great Books class. He will relate the changes in the humanities at Davidson to a broader discourse on the state of the humanities in higher ed in the United States. Dr. Denham will discuss some of the course units and explain how they are related to the broad theme of revolution.

After the lecture the floor will be opened for discussion and questions and the public is encouraged to participate.

This program is free to all members and does not require an RSVP. Questions should be directed to Amy Diamond at [email protected].
