Davidson Community Players and the Park at Beaty Street
A message from Davidson Community Players Executive Director Matt Merrell
Davidson Community Players (DCP) has largely outgrown its Armour Street Theatre, and there is little we can do to expand or improve it. Hence, the DCP board and staff have been working to consider options for a NEW THEATRE. One exciting option includes the Beaty Street property, located less than a 1/4-mile away from the current theatre.
The Town of Davidson is conducting a survey about how residents want to see the development of a 19-acre tract of land on the north-west side of Hwy.115. One option included in this survey is a new theatre which DCP could utilize for our Main Stage and Connie Company productions, innovative educational programs, and other special performing arts-related events. I encourage anyone interested to complete the survey and UNDER QUESTION 6, choose the middle photo to indicate your support for a theater on this space. The survey can be found by clicking HERE.
