Run for Green Rescheduled for September 29
REGISTER FOR THE DAVIDSON LANDS CONSERVANCY’S 13th ANNUAL “RUN FOR GREEN”
New date: Saturday, September 29, Davidson, North Carolina
Davidson Lands Conservancy would like to express how grateful we are to our runners, volunteers, sponsors, and the Community of Davidson whose support has allowed us to reschedule our Run for Green after Hurricane Florence.
So get ready to run through the beautiful town of Davidson and along its extensive network of greenways! The 13th Annual Run for Green, presented by MSC Industrial Supply of Davidson, will again feature a 5K, 10K and our signature half-marathon race to support Davidson Lands Conservancy’s efforts to protect natural and open spaces.
After you finish your run, enjoy refreshments on the Village Green including beer, while you listen to the fantastic music from The Southern Style Band. And don’t forget to check out the sponsors’ tents; without them, this race would not be possible!
See why DLC’s Run for Green should be your next “runcation” in this “Garden and Gun” article. The charming town of Davidson offers up a relaxing weekend, coupled with reaching your running goals. You can carb up for your run at one of the many amazing restaurants from Flatiron to Carburritos or have dinner on the water at the North Harbor Club, and many others. After you finish your run, whether it is the 5K, 10K or the half marathon, you should bring your friends or family and take advantage of the wonderful shops, restaurants, and farmers’ market. There are so many good places to see and restaurants to try that you’ll want to stay the whole weekend!
Runners: Registration is available at our website. The course has been recertified this year, so see the website for details!
New Virtual Option for Half-Marathoners: We know you trained for this and some of you cannot run with us on the 29th of September. We are offering the option to switch to the Virtual Half Marathon and we will send you your medal and your t-shirt. You have from Saturday, the 15th of September until the 29th of September to complete your half marathon. Please refer to the parameters of the event on our race registration page. YOU CAN ONLY SWITCH FROM THE HALF TO THE VIRTUAL HALF. YOU CANNOT SWITCH FROM THE 10K OR THE 5K. Runners in the Virtual Half Marathon do not qualify for awards. Run for Green awards are done on Gun time.

NOTE: While we cannot offer refunds, we will automatically transfer everyone to the new date. You can pick up your race shirt at the new packet pick up dates, TBA.
Volunteers: Not a runner? There are lots of opportunities to help out as a volunteer! We need folks to work at packet pick up, race set up, and take down. Our early risers are needed to work race day registration, water stations, course monitors, awards tent, and much more. Grab a friend or co-worker and email [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering on race day!

Registration fees:
- Half-marathon $75. Price increases to $90 after Sept. 12 at 11:59pm EDT
- 10K $55. Price increases to $60 after Sept. 12 at 11:59pm EDT
- 5K $35. Price increases to $40 after Sept. 12 at 11:59pm EDT
Run for Green is the primary fundraiser for the Davidson Lands Conservancy, a non-profit based in Davidson, NC, that helps to permanently protect land, as well as provide nature-themed education for people of all ages. Your participation in Run for Green helps us to fulfill our mission.
