Davidson Baseball Announces Fall Practice and Game Slate
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Under the direction of first-year head coach Rucker Taylor, the Davidson baseball team will get their fall campaign underway Thursday, Sept. 20 at Wilson Field.
Practices, which are open to the public, will run through the first week of November.
Weekday sessions will begin between 4-4:30 p.m., Saturday practices will take place in the morning, while Sunday’s are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
In addition to their 25 practice dates, including the Fall World Series (Oct. 26-28/Parents Weekend), the Wildcats will play a pair of exhibition contests.
Davidson will travel to cross-county rival Charlotte on Oct. 4 before hosting the Ontario Blue Jays on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m.
Coming off a school-record 32 regular season wins a year ago, Davidson returns 10 position players that made a significant number of starts as well as six pitchers that logged a lot of innings.
Captains for the upcoming season will be announced next week.
