The Davidson Farmer’s Market, Inc. (DFM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Davidson, North Carolina. This is the 10th year of the Davidson Farmers’ Market. The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a producer-only, year-round Market featuring more than 35 farmers and local producers from within a 100-mile radius. The Market is a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers are on hand to answer your questions, from “How was this grown?” to questions about how to prepare and preserve all types of foods. We are located next to the Davidson Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets. Parking is available on Main Street, Town Hall Lot, Police Department Lot, and at Davidson Presbyterian Church lot at the corner of Depot & Jackson Streets.

In Lillian’s Flying School, Lillian Brown, an ordinary, responsible single parent, is overwhelmed with the escalating demands of her job. After an especially stressful day, she dreams she can fly. But when the dream becomes a reality, and she begins teaching the art of flying to others, unexpected and unsettling events occur that affect the entire small town of Green Valley. A former counselor and temporary public school teacher, Nancy is now retired and lives in Davidson.

Enjoy a self-guided watercraft adventure through Lake Davidson! We will provide you with paddles, life vests, and your choice of a kayak, canoe, or paddle board! Main Street Hooks is a free and open book and knitting club brought to readers by Main Street Books in partnership with Davidson’s forthcoming craft store Hearts on Fiber that meets at the bookstore monthly for an hour of communal knitting and audiobook enjoyment. Hearts on Fiber staff are available at every meeting to guide beginner knitters/crocheters, while intermediate to advanced fiber crafters continue their own projects in the cozy company of fellow yarn enthusiasts and book nerds. Bookseller and knitting extraordinaire Jan Blodgett is also on site to assist with advanced knitting snafus. Hearts on Fiber also offers an on-site pop-up shop during Main Street Hooks meetings to meet the supply needs of club members.
