The Davidson Farmer’s Market, Inc. is back this week, after being closed for Christmas in Davidson last weekend. (DFM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Davidson, North Carolina. This is the 10th year of the Davidson Farmers’ Market. The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a producer-only, year-round Market featuring more than 35 farmers and local producers from within a 100-mile radius. The Market is a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers are on hand to answer your questions, from “How was this grown?” to questions about how to prepare and preserve all types of foods. We are located next to the Davidson Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets. Parking is available on Main Street, Town Hall Lot, Police Department Lot, and at Davidson Presbyterian Church lot at the corner of Depot & Jackson Streets.

Our musical story teller, Jamie, will lead our avid young readers in tunes accompanied by her mellifluous guitar and ukelele that complement the book of the day. Repetition and rhythm are the framework of this story time program. Story time is free and open to everyone.

Active Reading Workshop (Part 1)

Learn fun ideas and activities that you can use to support early literacy at home. Discover how to use the ABC’s of Active Reading one on one with your child. For parents and caregivers – come prepared to play and learn together with your child. This workshop is for parents/caregivers of children ages 2-5 and their children. Registration is required.
