Don’t forget to participate in the town’s comprehensive planning process. This fall the Town of Davidson kicked off a comprehensive plan process, entitled What’s Next Davidson?, its first such effort since 2010. A comprehensive plan is a document that contains a vision and supporting policies to guide decision-making in the town. What’s Next? features many opportunities for public input over the next several months, including a survey and an upcoming community-wide workshop. The Davidson Farmer’s Market, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Davidson, North Carolina. This is the 10th year of the Davidson Farmers’ Market. The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a producer-only, year-round Market featuring more than 35 farmers and local producers from within a 100-mile radius. The Market is a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers are on hand to answer your questions, from “How was this grown?” to questions about how to prepare and preserve all types of foods. We are located next to the Davidson Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets. Parking is available on Main Street, Town Hall Lot, Police Department Lot, and at Davidson Presbyterian Church lot at the corner of Depot & Jackson Streets.

Active Reading Workshop (Part 2)

Learn fun ideas and activities that you can use to support early literacy at home. Discover how to use the ABC’s of Active Reading one on one with your child. For parents and caregivers – come prepared to play and learn together with your child. This workshop is for parents/caregivers of children ages 2-5 and their children. Registration is required. Town of Davidson – Public Facilities Plan Open Houses

Community members are invited to learn about and provide input on our current public facilities proposal to master plan the property at 251 South Street for public facilities and other uses, and renovate our existing town hall for the police and fire departments. If you are unable to attend the public input session on this date, please review details at www.townofdavidson.org/PublicFacilities and email your thoughts on the plans to renovate the former IB school for public facilities and other uses vs. building a new town hall in front of the existing town hall to [email protected]
