Davidson Wrestling Loses to Brown
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson wrestling dropped its first ever dual against Brown University Friday afternoon at Belk Arena, 39-3.
With the loss Davidson falls to 2-6 in duals this season, while with the win Brown improves to 1-0.
Wildcat freshman Kyle Gorant improved to 10-8 on the season and 6-2 in duals with an 8-2 decision over Charlie Faber. For the Coopersburg, Pa., native it was just his second decision of the season – he leads the team with six falls.
Davidson battled to three early decision losses. Zamir Ode (133), Colin Realbuto (141) and Tony Palumbo (157) all fell in tight bouts in the first half of the match.
Davidson returns to the mat Sunday, Jan. 20 when they face Hofstra in a non-conference, neutral site dual at Lexington High School in Lexington, Pa.
