“The Jungle Book” Performed by the Connie Company

Armour Street Theatre – 307 Armour Street

The Jungle Book. Adapted by Monica Flory, and directed for DCP by Matt Webster.

Performance dates are:

Jan. 25 and Feb. 1 at 7 p.m.

Jan. 27 and Feb. 2 and 3 at 1pm

Jan. 26, 27 and Feb. 2 at 4pm.

Approximately 70 minutes in length, perfect for children as their first live theatre experience

Advanced Tickets: $10 in advance; $12 at the door.  Recommended all ages.

Davidson College Jazz Ensemble Featuring Michael Glaser, Drummer

January 25 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Duke Family Performance Hall – Davidson College Campus

A lover of all styles of music, Michael Glaser is a world-class drummer, singer, and instructor who has opened for groups such as St. Paul & The Broken Bones, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Counting Crows, and much more.  A 1992 Davidson College alum, Glaser performs many styles such as jazz, rock, country, afro beat, New Orleans, klezmer, and theater, and will be joining the Davidson College Jazz Ensemble for a guest artist concert you do not want to miss! For tickets, please contact the Union Box Office at 704-894-2135. Free for Davidson students, but tickets are required.

Come on out and watch the Wildcats take on cross-county rival Queens. Matches are slated for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

 

Family Sensory Storytime

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) invites community members to a public meeting on Monday, January 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lake Norman Church of Christ located at 17634 Caldwell Station Road in Huntersville to learn about the Highway 73 widening project.
