Charlotte Water and Propst Construction are installing a new water pipe to serve customers in Davidson. As part of this project, Lorimer Road from Hillside Drive to Concord Road will be closed to through traffic for a period of approximately five weeks starting March 11 (weather permitting) in phases as shown below:

Phase 1 – Estimated 2 weeks (in blue on map). Closed: Lorimer Road between Hillside and Chairman Blake Lane. Hillside Drive residents will have access to Hillside Drive.Detour: Use College Drive to Concord Road.

Phase 2– Estimated 3 weeks (in green on map)  Closed: Lorimer Road between Hillside and Chairman Blake Lane will be closed. Parking on Lorimer Road and possibly at Village Green will be restricted during Phase 2.Detour: Use Chairman Blake Lane.

Crews will complete temporary restoration of areas disturbed by construction. Final restoration may occur after completing the initial work in the roadway.
