Davidson Community Players to present “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)”

by | Mar 19, 2019 | Arts & Entertainment, Davidson Community Players

Prepare for all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in 97 minutes (more or less)! Davidson Community Players will present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) beginning on March 28, and you don’t need to study Shakespeare to appreciate this hilarious scramble through all of the Bard’s works.

Three madcap actors weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories, and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter. This irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays was London’s longest-running comedy. The show runs two weekends only and tickets are on sale now.

“This is Shakespeare like you’ve never seen him,” said Matt Merrell, Davidson Community Players’ Executive Director. “If you’ve ever wondered why Shakespeare’s works have survived for more than four hundred years, this impertinent and saucy play will keep you wondering.”

This production will run March 28-April 7 at the Armour Street Theatre in Davidson, N.C. and is directed by Melissa Bowden. Advanced Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 704-892-7953 or online at their website.
