by | Apr 4, 2019 | Local Businesses, News

There is yet another reason to be proud and excited for Main Street in Davidson: Mental Floss.com named Main Street Books the Best Bookstore in North Carolina.

Mental Floss is based in New York, founded in 2001, as a print, digital, and e-commerce media company that focuses on millennials. It presents facts, puzzles, and trivia with a humorous tone, as well as searching across America for “best of’s.” It draws 20.5 million unique users a month.

In selecting Davidson’s Main Street Books, Mental Floss wrote: “There’s stiff competition in North Carolina, but Main Street Books in Davidson is one of the finest literary establishments in the state. In business since 1987, the store was actually built out of an old general store and offers a plethora of programs and activities for book lovers. As part of the bookstore’s subscription program, “The Matchbox,” customers can elect to receive a staff-approved book from the store’s kids’ books, first editions, or paperback titles each month.”

Interested readers can learn more about the many programs and events at Main Street Books at their website.
