FREE NATURE OUTING: WHAT’S BUZZING?

Davidson/North Mecklenburg Area

Spring is here, and so are the busy bees! Join WOW and a local beekeeper, Ken Jahns, while he inspects the hives, lights the smoker, identifies bees and any pests, examines the brood chamber for eggs, larvae and food, even extract some honey if possible. Strollers are okay; no dogs please.

This outing is for children with their families. All ages are welcome. Location and other details will be sent to those who pre-register.

Pre-registration is required. To begin the registration process, please send an email to [email protected] with the names of all the participants (parents and children), ages of the children, any allergies and a cellphone number.

Be sure you get a confirmation of registration email that includes medical and photo waiver instructions.

Registration is not available on the Davidson Lands Conservancy website.

Be sure that you receive an email confirming your registration.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration closes at 5pm, Friday, May 3.
