The Davidson community is invited to attend Yom HaShoah – Holocaust Remembrance activities at Davidson College on Thursday, May 2. The events will take place in the Alvarez Student Union – 900 Room, and are expected to last from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The specific events are listed below.

10:30am-4:30pm Recitation of Names
There is power in reciting names. We remember them. They are not forgotten. We count and recount all of them. Sign up for slots to read.

4:30pm-6:00pm Author, Robin Black
A writer who writes memoirs about Holocaust survivors and their families (who also happens to be the mother of Caroline Black), will be speaking about her experience writing these books, getting to know the survivors and their families, and traveling to the concentration camps.

6:00pm-6:30pm Memorial Service
We commemorate and mourn the loss of the 6 million with a memorial service.
