Brush up on your ABBA songs and get ready for a sun-drenched musical adventure this summer on June 20-30 as Davidson Community Players presents Mamma Mia! The production will take place at the Duke Family Performance Hall, located in the picturesque town of Davidson.

ABBA’s hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. On the eve of her wedding, her quest brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. This production will be directed by David Townsend, choreography by Gina Duckworth and music direction by Anne Beach.

”This joyful musical combines hit songs with a moving and funny story for an unforgettable evening of theater,” says DCP Executive Director Matthew Merrell. “Mamma Mia features toe-tapping music and great dance numbers. I guarantee you will leave the show with a big smile on your face.”

Performances are at the Duke Family Performance Hall on the campus of Davidson College with shows June 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29 at 8pm, June 23 and June 30 at 2pm. Advanced tickets start at $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and $15 for students. Tickets can be purchased at DavidsonCommunityPlayers.org or by calling the box office at 704-892-7953. This show is ideal for large groups which are eligible for a group discount.
