On Saturday, April 6, nearly 250 neighbors across and beyond the Lake Norman community came together to celebrate the Ada Jenkins Center’s mission and successes, at its 13th Annual Gala “Timeless Glamour,” presented by Novant Health. Together they raised $155,000 for the Center.

“We extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to our sponsors, supporters, elected officials, board members, volunteers, and staff for making the gala a huge success,” said Georgia Krueger, Executive Director of the Ada Jenkins Center.  “Thanks to their generosity, we have more capacity to serve our client-partners – whether they need short-term access to services or are able to continue along the Investment Pathway program for a multi-generational approach to long-term economic stability.”

Held at the Huntersville Recreation Center, the event included a live auction featuring auctioneer Randy Lignon, and a silent auction that included a chef’s table dining experience at Kindred and a cooking experience with local chef Jennifer Brule. Guests enjoyed food provided by Bouk Catering, dancing and music from the band Shades of Brown, and a photo booth sponsored by Aquesta Bank. Phaedra Pistone, Mrs. North Carolina, crowned the “King” and “Queen” of the night – Mike Riley and his daughter Wendy.

Ada Jenkins Center’s 2020 gala, “The Roaring Twenties,” takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the Huntersville Recreation Center. For tickets and sponsorship information, contact Mardee Woodward: (704) 896-0471 x146
