Mark your calendars for Ada Jenkins Center’s Third Annual Food Fight –  Saturday, October 5, 2019;  11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This is a fun family event where competing restaurants, caterers and talented chefs bring their best dish to the table for a chance to win bragging rights in the following categories:  Mac’N’Cheese, Barbecue, Salads and Desserts. Visitors will savor samples from each entry and then vote on their favorites. “On the Nines has been honored to take first place in the Mac and Cheese and Dessert categories for the past two years in the Ada Jenkins Food Fight, “ says Steve Jordan, Executive Chef of On the Nines Bistro at the new Mooresville Golf Club.  “We accept this year’s challenge in the salad category, to create another award winning dish.  We’re ready!”

The festivities include:

     Beer garden sponsored by Primal Brewery
     Photo booth sponsored by AMB
     Face painting by Tango’s Fun For You
     Soccer cage experience with Ulti Futbol
     Raffle Team sponsored by Primrose Schools
     and the sounds of the popular favorite Shades of Brown band!

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online 

(Children $5;  Adults $20 prior to September 19;  $25 thereafter.)  All funds go to support the Ada Jenkins Center, which has stood for more than 80 years as a hub for education and community support. With services including a medical clinic, dental clinic, food pantry, workforce development, child and adult education, and social work case management, we help neighbors in the Lake Norman area create lasting solutions for health, education, and economic stability. Last year, we served more than 2,600 individuals and families.
