The Davidson Farmer’s Market, Inc. (DFM) is back this week. DFM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Davidson, North Carolina. This is the 10th year of the Davidson Farmers’ Market. The Davidson Farmer’s Market is a producer-only, year-round Market featuring more than 35 farmers and local producers from within a 100-mile radius. The Market is a lively gathering place for meeting friends and for learning about food, agriculture and nutrition. Growers and producers are on hand to answer your questions, from “How was this grown?” to questions about how to prepare and preserve all types of foods. We are located next to the Davidson Town Hall between Main & Jackson Streets. Parking is available on Main Street, Town Hall Lot, Police Department Lot, and at Davidson Presbyterian Church lot at the corner of Depot & Jackson Streets.

Reeves Temple AME Zion Church Fish Fry

Reeves Temple AME Zion Church – 213 Watson Street
The Fish Fry will be held on September 21 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to raise funds for the restoration of its historic Lingle Hut in Davidson. The church and its supporters have raised about $33,000 towards their $65,000 goal. They also will have a brick fundraiser.

The Downtown Davidson Fall Arts Festival is back! Come enjoy an artsy evening in charming historic downtown Davidson! Art “crawlers” will be treated to over 40 local artists selling handmade pieces ranging from fine art, textiles, and folk art to jewelry and more! Bring the whole family to experience our interactive art area and dance to the music of Davidson favorite, Billy Jones, on the town green. Shops will be open late to celebrate the night, and don’t forget to try a new dish from one of our fabulous Davidson restaurants!
