Davidson Community Player’s “Aladdin Jr.” Will Bring “A Whole New World” to Armour Street Theatre

Due to extremely high popularity, Davidson Community Players’ Connie Company, “Aladdin Jr.,” will add a bonus production on November 10 at 4:00pm at Armour Street Theatre.

Davidson Community Players’ Connie Company, “Aladdin Jr.,” opens to the public Friday, November 1 and runs for two weekends through Nov 10.

The story you know and love has been given the royal treatment! Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim, are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. With expanded characters, new songs, and more thrills, this new adaptation of the beloved story will open up “a whole new world” for young performers!

Aladdin Jr. will be performed at DCP’s Armour Street Theatre; 307 Armour Street in Davidson. The show is directed by Katie Mullis. Several days have multiple performances. Davidson Community Players is a non-profit organization established in 1965 to produce theatre that entertains, enriches, and

encourages community participation in the dramatic arts. The Connie Company is DCP’s theatre for youth division. For more than 20 years The Connie Company has been providing education classes, camps, and intensives, as well as, full productions geared toward young people.
