Collins Shines in Davidson Men’s Basketball Annual Red/Black Scrimmage

It was Davidson vs Davidson at Belk Arena for the Annual Red/Black Scrimmage.
DAVIDSON, N.C. — Junior guard Carter Collins scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Red Team to a 40-31 win over the Black Team in Davidson’s annual Red/Black Scrimmage Saturday in Belk Arena.

Junior Carter Collins led the Wildcats in scoring – with 14 points.
The exhibition consisted of a 20-minute half followed by brief end-of-game situations.
Collins, who also had three assists and three rebounds, was one of four players to score in double figures, while junior guard Kellan Grady contributed 11 and sophomore big man Luka Brajkovic added 10 for the Red squad. Senior guard Jon Axel Gudmundsson scored a team-high 11 to lead the Black team.
Collins shot 6-of-8 from the floor and played 19 minutes. Grady was the top rebounder in the contest with six boards.
The Red team also featured freshman forward David Kristensen, sophomore guard David Czerapowicz and senior walk-ons Malcolm Wynter and Patrick Casey.
Along with Gudmundsson, last season’s Atlantic 10 Player of the Year, the Black roster was comprised of redshirt sophomore guard Luke Frampton, redshirt freshman wing Mike Jones, junior forward Bates Jones, sophomore forward Nelson Boachie-Yiadom, freshman wing Hyunjung Lee and walk-ons Cal Freundlich (senior) and Drew Dibble (sophomore).
