It’s a busy time of year, but it just takes a few minutes at DavidsonLearns to  make plans for a happy and thought-provoking New Year. Don’t miss this chance to spark your brain, meet new folks—and learn!

When registration for Winter/Spring DavidsonLearns courses opened the first week in December, curious learners filled more than 80 percent of the seats within a few days. But cool learning opportunities remain, including openings in two courses that begin in January.

  • What role do you want to play in the lives of your grandchildren? It’s often not as straightforward as we might imagine. “Grandparenting in the 21st Century” asks this question and others, helping to navigate the joys and complications of family relationships.
  • “Exploring Disabilities Studies” will open your eyes to how we view and talk about identity and disability. This course takes us beyond inspiration, pity, and charity, looking into how disability as an identity figures in American history, art, drama, literature, and more.
  • There are also spots left in the tantalizing “Making of a Modern Greek Tragedy,” also beginning in January, and “Depictions of Race in Film,” kicking off in March.
