The Beyond 77 Phase I Public Involvement Survey is closing this weekend.

Your feedback will help us determine whether we connect main thoroughfares bordering the highway, add stops to bus routes, focus on Light Rail (LYNX), or build more bike and pedestrian corridors.

So far, we’ve heard:

• 45% of respondents said connecting major thoroughfares bordering I-77 would allow them to use I-77 less and improve their travel experience.
• 55% of respondents said that they strongly agree or agree that when evaluating transportation solutions, the region should prioritize bus, rail, bike, and pedestrian walkways.
• 68% of respondents said the alternative transportation mode they would feel most comfortable using is the Light Rail (LYNX).
• 50% of respondents chose taxes as the method they would prefer to use when paying for transportation improvements. Of those respondents, most prefer to pay via fuel tax.
