Moving Stories with Camerin

Based on Brain Dance research, Moving Stories with Camerin is a story time incorporating guided movement for kids aged 6 months to 6 years old. This story time combines dance, music, and stories to engage small movers and their caregivers in age appropriate mobility skill development. Movement is focused on Brain Dance techniques (Anne Green Gilbert) encouraging movement patterns that re-enforce the mind- body connection and contribute to brain development. Each class focuses on a book and uses the story as a catalyst for movement development and exploration. Care-givers are expected to interact one-on-one with their child, offering an exciting experience for student and care-giver alike.

 

Celebrate Women’s History – Now Showing: Suffragette

CANCELLED – Precinct 206 Yearly Organizing Meeting

Precinct 206 Democrats meet on Saturday, March 14, 2:00 PM, at Davidson Town Hall. It is the yearly organizing meeting where delegates are elected to send to the County Convention, where more delegates are elected that go on to the National Election. The meeting should run from 2:00-3:30.

Read with A Cop

Please join Davidson Police Officers at Davidson Public Library for our “Read with a Cop” Community Helper program. Children boost their reading and confidence reading aloud. Practice your reading with a cop and get chance to ask your local Community Helper some questions! No registration required. First come first served. This program is best suited for Grades K-5.

 

Strange New Worlds Book Club

Organ at Davidson presents its annual Bach Birthday Bash on March 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Davidson College Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Main St. in Davidson. The recitalist is Dr. Joseph Causby, Director of Music and organist at the Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill NC. The concert is free, with donations accepted, and is followed by a reception. www.dcpc.org.
