Students Helping Students at Area Colleges
As all area colleges are closing due to concerns about Covid-19, students are helping their classmates by loading dorm furniture into their U Haul.
There are several Davidson students working with them, but the chief organizer is a student from Wake Forest. Their entrepreneurial enterprise is called “Storage Scholars.” They will unload the students’ belongings in a local storage unit, then hold on to it until the fall, when students come back to school. This helps students out of the jam of having to move so quickly, and it is a great entrepreneurial idea – a win-win.
They have hopes of doing the same work at 13 colleges and universities in North Carolina and at a few out of state schools, as well.
