Our local businesses really need your support. Please consider ordering take-out from your neighbors. [This is an updated list from last week.]

Outdoor Activities in Davidson

Even though Mecklenburg County has issued a Stay at Home Order, you are still able to use town parks and greenways if you are not sick! Please keep in mind that all active recreation features are closed including basketball courts, playgrounds, and tennis courts. In addition, Town of Davidson bathroom facilities at the parks and greenways are also closed. Remember to always allow six feet of “social distance” between you and other park or greenway visitors as you walk, run, or ride a bike! Stay safe, Davidson!

Some local online offerings:

The Refugees (World Premiere) | Written and directed by Stephen Kaliski – Davidson College Class of  2007 – Due to COVID-19 and Davidson’s shift to remote instruction, we’re thrilled to offer a live stream “Zoom production” of the show Friday evening, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. Join the live stream of The Refugees.

In an imaginary city-state loosely based on ancient Greek myths, generational conflict erupts around how to handle the mass of desperate, uprooted migrants outside the city walls. Inspired by the current refugee crisis in southern Europe, and partially developed through on-the-ground faculty-student research, this play takes dead aim at climate change, xenophobia, and what it costs us to compromise our ideals.

FREE Pilates mat class via Zoom this Saturday 3/28 at 9:00 a.m. Here’s a link to YouTube with a short 60 second clip about it, if you are able to include that as well – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBSI9EIlVJw
