Blue Ribbon Heroes
Many of us want to find ways to thank our heroic healthcare workers, and those who work with police, fire, EMS departments, and all essential workers who, among many other occupations, staff our grocery stores. drive trucks. and prepare meals in our region. Some of us stand at the end of our driveways at 7:00 PM and clap. But there is another way to say thank-you that can be displayed prominently in your yard for the duration of these difficult days of the coronavirus.
Tie a blue ribbon around a tree! With enough trees tied up, our local blue ribbon heroes will know that we are saying thank-you. Give it a try. And send us a picture. We will publish it in our blue ribbon series.
