DCP holding Auditions for “Present Laughter” April 19 & 20!
Don’t let quarantine keep you from coming out to virtually audition for DCP’s upcoming production of Present Laughter! Zoom auditions will be held on April 19 & 20 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. by appointment only.
Present Laughter by Noel Coward is a quick-witted and highly stylized comedy that pokes fun at celebrity intrigue. Garry Essendine, a popular and pampered actor, is busily making preparations for an extended tour. His apartment is invaded by Daphne, a beautiful but stage struck youngster. When his wife, his partners, and his numerous admirers arrive, Garry is hard pressed to escape an embarrassing and easily misinterpreted situation. With typical Coward repartee and dazzling wit, Garry sidesteps complications and mounting confusion.
Those who are interested in auditioning should schedule an appointment with show director, Marla Brown at [email protected]. Auditions will consist of script-in-hand readings. Please email your information/resume to artistic director Sylvia Schnople at [email protected], along with the role(s) for which you want to audition. We will confirm your start time to join Zoom.
