BECAUSE YOU SERVED
Updated Information: Service-themed Face Masks
The Commissioners of the North Carolina State Veterans Affairs Commission have a goal of providing a service-specific cloth mask to every resident at our North Carolina State Veterans Homes.
Total service-themed masks needed/made:
Army: 226/251
Navy: 80/104
Air Force: 75/85
Marine Corps: 34/82
Coast Guard: 5/29
Patriotic: 431
Non-service specific: 113
“We believe that these masks will be needed by our Veterans and their families and friends who visit them after the lockdown is lifted,” said retired Navy Captain Jane Campbell. Masks may be the new ‘normal’ and we want our Veterans to be able to share their service pride as they protect themselves and those around them.”
If you can’t sew, can you take the time to write a note to a Veteran? Do you know any school children who can send notes or artwork to our Veterans?
Please send masks, letters, artwork to:
Captain (Ret) Jane Campbell|
P.O. Box 2252
Davidson, NC 28036
The donations will be sorted and organized before being delivered to our fuur Veterans homes located across the state. Please consider supporting the North Carolina Veterans who are residents of our State Veterans’ Homes. Thank You!
