The Ada Jenkins Center to Hold its First-ever Virtual Fun Run

We are grateful to the nearly 400 donors who have contributed emergency assistance funds for our client families; now the Ada Jenkins Center, itself, needs community help to keep up with the demand. We had to postpone our annual Spring Gala, which would have provided the funding we need to support our operations through the summer. With that loss – nearly $100,000 – we have had to make some difficult cuts, including staff.

So we’re inviting all runners, walkers, bikers, skateboarders, dog walkers, and drive-through dashers across the Lake Norman Area and beyond to participate in a virtual fun run event to get some fresh air with their family — and show their support for the Ada Jenkins Center and the families we serve during this difficult time.

Here’s how it works:
* Participants can register here by Friday, June 12.

*They will print your bib(s) from the registration confirmation email.

*They can run, walk, bike, crawl, etc. anytime on June 13 or 14, and are urged to dress in red/blue, decorate their bikes, have fun!

*We’re asking them to post your pics online, and tag us @AdaJenkinsNC, so we can see everyone and share their pictures.

Prizes for:
* Largest group (safely socially distanced, of course)
* Youngest participant
* Most team spirit: red/blue colors to represent the Ada Jenkins Center
