WDAV Launches Streaming Archive of Its Popular Specialty Programming

by | Jun 25, 2020 | Arts & Entertainment, WDAV

89.9 WDAV announced the launch of a 14-day streaming archive that allows listeners to access programs broadcast in the previous two weeks.

The archive, located at their website, wdav.org, will feature past episodes of popular specialty programs such as the baroque-music themed Biscuits and Bach and movie score retrospective Reel Music. The archive will also give listeners the opportunity to listen to archived episodes of daily broadcasts featuring their favorite announcers like Night Music with Frank Dominguez and Mozart Café with Rachel Stewart.

“Now, when someone feels the need for Concierto in the middle of the afternoon, or wants to be At the Opera while they work from home, they can,” said WDAV’s General Manager and Content Director Frank Dominguez. “All of that is possible thanks to WDAV’s new streaming archive, where you can hear programs or hosts you may have missed.”

Programs available for streaming at WDAV’s archive:

 At The Opera

Each week we explore history’s greatest and most popular operas, along with some that are off the beaten path, but well worth discovering. We’ll do it through recordings featuring legendary singers and conductors, as well as today’s brightest operatic stars.

 Biscuits and Bach

WDAV’s Rachel Stewart features music from the Renaissance to the Baroque and welcomes the occasional guest who shares a recipe or two. It’s food for the soul and soul food on a Sunday morning.

 Concierto

A weekly program of classical music presented in Spanish and in English. The program features music by Latin American and Spanish composers and musicians. With Concierto, WDAV extends a welcoming hand to the fastest growing ethnic group in the Carolinas, while also seeking to introduce new listeners to the pleasures of classical music.

 Mozart Café

Host Rachel Stewart invites listeners to a classical feast during the Noon hour featuring the works by Mozart and his contemporaries.

 Night Music

Frank Dominguez shares gentle classics to relax and refresh your spirit each weeknight.

 Reel Music

Host Matt Rogers shares some of cinema’s best music and celebrates renowned film score composers.

 WDAV By Request

We love to pick the classical music you enjoy on WDAV – but why should we have all the fun? WDAV By Request is a weekly listener request program that plays a selection of music requested by our listeners.
