The “in person” Davidson Farmers’ Market begins on July 11th, with the same safety protocols scheduled to be in place.

All DFM vendors are offering in-person shopping.

Some vendors will allow shoppers to pick their own products with proper hand sanitation, ​please ask vendors before touching items.

Barbee Farms – A variety of fresh produce

Available this week:​ Barbee Farms will have many of your summer favorites available this weekend! ​Peaches​ that are simply delicious, top the list followed closely by tomatoes (heirloom, red and roma), cherry tomatoes (yellow and red), green beans, corn, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, eggplant and okra. We have many varieties of peppers: sweet bells, poblano, and jalapeno. New crop white potatoes and sweet potatoes will also be available as well as both red and white onions. We will definitely have cantaloupes and may have a few of the other type melons we grow. We are still watching and waiting for those! Don’t forget to pick up some farm fresh eggs!

To Know:​ ​At our Davidson Market vending site, customers will be able to choose their own produce after proper hand sanitization.​ We will not be offering online ordering this weekend for Davidson market pick up but will have staff available to assist you with your shopping if requested. Levine Museum builds a stronger, more equitable community by connecting people to Charlotte and to each other through history, culture, and celebration. Their exhibits and programs foster empathy, ignite dialogue, and inspire action.

Spellman College’s Museum presents some of the best exhibitions in our region, and Director Andrea Barnwell Brownlee has been an incredible advocate addressing the diversity gap in the museum industry.

When travel resumes, we recommend a visit to the National Museum of African American History & Culture. But until then, take a look at the NMAAHC’s website, including these resources for talking about race and racism.
