Davidson Housing Coalition’s Summer Campaign
Dear loyal News of Davidson readers,
The Davidson Housing Coalition’s Summer Campaign Needs Your Support.
Whether you’ve never given to Davidson Housing Coalition or you’re a long-term supporter, we want you to know our organization remains steadfast in its mission of providing affordable housing, financial literacy and homebuyer education, and critical home repairs locally.
Covid-19 has hit many of our residents hard — through lost jobs or reduced work hours. Thanks to the past generosity of the community, we have been able to assist some of our residents with rental and utility costs, and some prescription costs. The people who live in our apartments include restaurant and construction workers who have had little to no work, and retirees who are concerned with prescription costs and utility bills.
Besides an appeal to support our Summer Campaign, you’ll also notice that we have a new logo expressing what DHC is all about: All of US working together to lift people up in a place they can settle down.
We also continue to work with the town’s Affordable Housing Task Force to ensure long-term affordability to homes throughout Davidson, particularly on the gentrifying west side.
We launch our annual Summer Campaign with the hope you can help us continue to deliver affordable rentals, financial literacy classes, homebuyer education and emergency home repairs.
Tax-deductible donations can be made online at www.davidsonhousing.org/donate or mailed to DHC, P.O. Box 854, Davidson, N.C., 28036. DHC’s tax identification number is 56-2057448.
Thank you for helping US maintain the strong fabric of our community, and stay safe.
