Ready, Set, Social Distancing in Davidson: Week 25 (Labor Day)

Friday

Davidson Enters Into Phase 2.5

September 4 @ 5:00 p.m. 

  • Playgrounds at town parks will open beginning Friday, September 4 at 5pm.
    • Please use these facilities at your own risk; many of our town parks have hand sanitizing stations. Plan ahead and bring your own sanitizing equipment if you so choose.
    • Please also adhere to all remaining protocols such as wearing a face covering for all ages 5 and up, maintaining social distance, and not gathering in groups of more than 50 individuals.
  • No games for contact sports are permitted under Phase 2.5 of the Governor’s Executive Order. Basketball goals will be reinstated on town property for athletic conditioning drills, practice, and family play only.
  • Restroom facilities will reopen at town parks. These restrooms are cleaned by town staff, but not sanitized regularly. Please be mindful and be prepared.
  • Davidson Town Hall remains closed to the public during Phase 2.5.

Virtual Town Board Work Session

September 8 @ 6:00 pm – TBD

The monthly Town Board works session will be held virtually. It can be viewed live or after the fact on the town’s YouTube or Facebook pages.

 

Wednesday

Tunes & Tales with Jamie

September 9 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Join us with your kids for a story time with live music! Our musical story teller, Jamie, will lead our avid young readers in tunes accompanied by her mellifluous guitar and ukelele that complement the book of the day. Repetition and rhythm are the framework of this story time program. Story time is free and open to everyone.
