This week, co-managing editor Meg Kimmel chose to highlight one of our strengths—the wonderful images captured by our team’s photographers, Bill Giduz and Jane Campbell. These two are never without their cameras, and our site is better for it.

In our uncertain times, Meg chose Jane’s early morning visit to the a foggy Davidson campus last February.

Since News of Davidson went live in September 2017, we’ve posted over 2,000 news stories and column contributions, and literally uncountable calendar events (until Covid slowed the pace). Our stories celebrate our town, our neighbors, nonprofits, events, and businesses, and hundreds of stunning images.

We’ll reach into our brief but busy history about once a week through the end of 2020, partly as a way to spread a little joy when we all can use some, and yes, to encourage your support for  the work we love to do.
