This week, contributing editor Allyson Ray dipped back appropriately to co-managing editor Margo Williams’  Dance of Life, published in November 2017, following another election that raised high feelings in our community. It’s a calming reminder of values we share.

We are reaching into our brief but busy history about once a week through the end of 2020, partly as a way to spread some joy when we can use some, and yes, to encourage your support for  the work we love to do. We are proud of this work and very grateful for your donations that will keep this all-volunteer news site afloat.

News of Davidson has an annual budget of $5,000, and to date, you have contributed $3,500 to pay our relatively small bills. With almost two months to go, we are optimistic about reaching our goal. Thank you!

Since going live in September 2017, News of Davidson has posted more than 2,000 stories and column contributions, and literally uncountable calendar events (until Covid slowed the pace). Our stories celebrate our town, our neighbors, nonprofits, events, and businesses, and hundreds of stunning images. We hope to keep this up for a good while.
