Bailey Springs Tree Planting

Bailey Springs

On November 14, Davidson Parks & Recreation is partnering with TreesDavidson and Davidson Lands Conservancy to plant 40 trees on Bartlett Springs Drive in front of the affordable housing units. The trees are partially funded by the town and a Davidson Garden Club grant that was given to Davidson Lands Conservancy. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Cleveland County, NC Songwriter Kevin Dale Bridges will be performing in support of his 2020 release ‘ Shelter ‘.He has been a featured songwriter and performer at the Don Gibson Songwriting Symposium and performs as a solo artist and with the bands, CleveCo and Kill Devils. Kevin’s song, Carolina Sing-Along was chosen for the album, NC Gold, a collection of songs from North Carolina songwriters to benefit the NC Gold Trail.

How does it work? Register a team, and you’ll receive a Google form on Monday afternoon with trivia questions to submit by midnight. You can begin whenever you’d like, but all trivia questions should be completed within one hour of beginning. Honor code applies.

Virtual Livability Board Meeting

November 17 @ 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The Livability Board’s mission is to serve as a sounding board and provide advice and recommendations to staff on any and all questions concerning parks, recreation, healthy living initiatives, trees and natural assets, greenways and trails, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and policies. The event will be broadcast on the town’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page.

Tunes & Tales with Jamie

Join us with your kids for a story time with live music! Story time is free and open to everyone. *Social distancing enforced through assigned seating.

*Masks required for participants ages 11 and up.

*Masks recommended for ages 3 and up.

*We invite you to bring scarves, spoons, and noisemakers to join the music making!

Jamie brings her ukulele and her puppet, Junior, to sing and read books. She’s basically our very own Mr. Rogers.

 

Virtual Design Review Board Meeting

November 18 @ 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The Design Review Board (DRB) interprets and enforces the design regulations contained in the Davidson Planning Ordinance. The Board reviews the design of all new commercial, civic/institutional and multifamily construction as well as additional structures as required by the Davidson Planning Ordinance. The event will be broadcast on the town’s YouTube Channel and Facebook page.
