Meet the Need is a special column for us at News of Davidson. Please give it special attention because it contains the needs of many local nonprofits, as well as ways that you can become involved with these fine organizations.

• Giving Tuesday is Tuesday, December 1. Please consider giving to A2S.
• When doing your holiday shopping on Amazon, try using Amazon Smile and setting your nonprofit of choice to A2S – Access to Success. Amazon will donate a portion of every purchase to A2S!
• A2S is responding to meet the needs of the A2S After School Academy in Benin City, Nigeria by encouraging supporters to commit to the monthly giving program, called FaithFuel, for as little as $30 a month. At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity gives everyone power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.

Access to Success provides sustainable programs that generate positive change for Nigerian children and their communities. Children in Nigeria have dreams. But they rarely have hope. A2S provides education, athletic and empowerment programs, and basic human needs — they give access to necessary tools that empower children and give them hope for a future outside of poverty. With your support, they are helping children, families, and communities.
