Ready, Set, This Week in Davidson: January 1 – 7

Wildcat basketball is different this season. Only family members of players can attend home games, and COVID cleaning takes place before the game, at halftime, and after.

Dark Side of North: Honoring the Life and Work of Anthony S. Abbott

Join your friends from Main Street Books as they honor the life of our own Tony Abbott on the date of the release of his final collection of poems – Dark Side of North. The event will be hosted on Zoom. Tony’s family, students, colleagues, and friends will read selections of his poetry. The event is co-hosted by Charlotte Writers’ Club and Main Street Books. The Jewish Council of Lake Norman is hosting this Zoom event with M. Evan Wolkenstein, the author of Turtle Boy. His book is described as a powerful story of hope and friendship – exploring self-image, family, grief, isolation, and more. This book will make you laugh and cry.
