The Mecklenburg County Delegation to the NC General Assembly Hosts an Online Listening Session for Constituents
Raleigh, NC – The Mecklenburg County Delegation to the NC General Assembly will be hosting an online Listening Session this Saturday, February 27th, from 10 to 11am EST. A majority of the Delegation’s 17 members will be in attendance. This is an opportunity for constituents throughout the county to speak to their legislators. Constituents are encouraged to sign up to speak for up to 2 minutes about what issues they would like us to work on, concerns in their community, and reactions to legislation pending in the NCGA.
Senator Natasha Marcus, Chair of the Delegation, said, “The pandemic makes it unsafe for us to meet in person, but we want to hear from our constituents as we start a new legislative session. So, we are hosting our Listening Session online and look forward to hearing from the public.”
Press will not be permitted to ask questions to legislators or constituents during the Listening Session. This is an opportunity to hear from residents to learn more about their top concerns.
Attendees must sign up in advance to join the Listening Session: http://bit.ly/
