Davidson Police Virtual Assessment – Seeks Public Input
The Davidson Police Department is scheduled for a virtual on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve national re-accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.
Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
As a part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a virtual public information session on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 at 5pm. The session can be accessed by clicking the following link:https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88642055992…
Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling 704-940-9612 on Monday, March 1st, 2021, between the hours of 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. Telephone comments as well as appearances at the virtual public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. Local contact is Lorena Arce at 704-940-9603.
