This Week at DFM: March 20

by | Mar 18, 2021

Head on over to the Farmers Market!

Hello DFM Shoppers,

Those that came to the market on Saturday, March, 6 –– thank you! The market looked a little different with construction happening between DFM and Summit Coffee causing a little confusion how to access the market, especially after a year with a dedicated entrance and exit in response to the pandemic. Those that arrived on the 6th were so respectful of the changes and maintained social distancing making the market a great success for our vendors and fellow shoppers. Thank you, again!

With most of the area fenced off, we decided to open the market up to allow shoppers easier, and safer, access. If you’re new to DFM in the last year, this is how the market used to be before Covid, and we’ve been eager to return to that layout once the pandemic is over. As construction continues until May, we will keep the market without an entrance, exit, and barriers. We do ask that our shoppers wait until 9am to enter the space where vendors are. At 9am we ring the market bell, loudly, to alert shoppers and vendors that the market has opened and shopping can begin. We do the same thing at noon when the market is closed. We are still requiring shoppers, vendors, staff, and volunteers to wear masks while at the market and maintain social distancing.

There are two winter markets left, 3/20 and 3/27, before the market’s full season opening on Saturday, April 3. During our full season there will be 36 vendors and the market operating every Saturday –– but more info about that in our upcoming newsletters.

I look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday for another beautiful market.

Happy eating,

Justin
