Wildcat Men’s T&F Wraps up Three-Day Stay at the Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. – Men’s track and field wrapped up the final day of the Raleigh Relays Saturday the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility.

Davidson junior Cory Gaither took second in his section and fifth overall in the 400-meter hurdles, stopping the clock at 53.46 seconds. Freshman Isaac Bynum also hurdled his way down the home stretch and leaned across the line at 54.92 seconds.

Gaither also competed in the 110-meter hurdle final. The Statesville, N.C., native placed eighth in 14.73 seconds.

On Friday, reigning Atlantic 10 men’s track rookie of the week Josh Hardin entered the blocks in the 400-meter run. The Bluff City, Tenn., native stopped the clock at 48.80 seconds, 14th overall in a field of 36 competitors. He came close to besting his time from a week ago at the 49er Classic (48.66 seconds).

Davidson returns to the track Thursday, Apr. 1 for the opening day of the Vertklasse Meeting at High Point University.
