Field Hockey Falls to No. 6 Liberty
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Liberty’s Charlotte Vaanhold and Jill Bolton each scored three goals Sunday afternoon to lead the No. 6 Flames past Davidson 9-0 in field hockey.
With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 4-6 overall, while the Flames improve to 13-2.
Liberty scored three goals in the opening period and built a 5-0 lead by the half. The Flames had an 18-5 advantage in shots on goal, with Anna Sharp(2), Valerie Hajek, Natalie Naticchia and Corynne Hammit putting shots on goal for the Wildcats.
